mcs565781
S&S M8 Chain Driven 550c Camshaft Kit – 2018–2026 Softail; 2017–2026…

Description

Horsepower cam for 114 and larger engines. On the S&S dyno a 114" Street Glide with a Stealth air cleaner and Power Tune dual headers with Mk45 mufflers was good for 120 HP. Kit includes cam; all required bearings; o-rings and hardware. Gear drive cams provide improved valve timing accuracy but more mechanical sound; when compared to chain driven cams. The additional mechanical sound is the reason why OEM runs chain driven cams. Note: This is a small base circle cam. Requires adjustable pushrods and heavy duty valve springs. S&S Recommends 558660 Quickee pushrod & cover kit and 565784 S&S .605" heavy duty valve Spring kit. Note: For best performance it is; like with all performance cams; recommended to use a free breathing air cleaner and exhaust system. Note: With each cam change S&S recommends their 583903 Precision tappet assembly set. Note: See the printed or online Motorcycle Storehouse catalog for the S&S camshaft specification chart.

Fitment

18-26 Softail

17-26 FLT/Touring (excl. 23-26 VVT)

17-26 Trikes

Product Details

Brand: S&S

Category: Motor parts > Cams

Unit: 1

Product code: 565781

Part Numbers

MCS Part Number: 565781
Manufacturer Part Number: 330-0643
